Love is to strive to really be seen by the other.

And after all, it literally does seem to conquer all.

Even death.

Orfeus & Euridice is a dazzlingly passionate opera. Originally, the couple’s story takes place in the middle of Greek mythology. This time, though the plot of their ‘out-of-norm’ relationship isreflected in a modern-day mythology due to the concept of its Swedish director, Åsa Kalmér.

This unique interpretationof one of the most beautiful pieces in opera history is brought to Armel Opera Festival audiences by NorrlandsOperan, a progressive Swedish opera house renowned for its grandiose, spectacular opera productions.

Amor’s role is performed by the young, French soprano, Jeanne Gérard, the finalist of Armel Opera Competition 2017.
